They call it the city that never sleeps…..and boy are they right. This small town Rhode Island girl was surprised to find a pizza joint open until 6 am but I’m sure glad I did. Here are a few of my favorite spots in NYC for the night owl in all of us.

The Box- NYC Club: This place is as crazy as it gets for nightlife out in NYC. With a strict and unspoken rule of an all black dress code, this club is the perfect place to debut that little black dress if you like theater. The shows here are very risqué and sometimes downright disturbing so if you don’t do well in uncomfortable or strange situations this is not the club for you. The Box is notorious for putting on a theater performance every hour, and there is no cell phone use during them due to the graphic nature. Bottle service and buying a table is recommended, but the double story building and party vibe on the floor is much more affordable and still enjoyable. Just remember that this club is very secretive and strict with the dress code and cell phone use…but isn’t that part of the fun?

Artichoke Basille’s NY Pizza: This pizza joint is nationally known for its artichoke pizza and let me tell you…it does not disappoint. If you’re craving a slice at any time up to 6 am this is the place to be. You can find dozens of people lined up outside this pizzeria after a night out just trying to grab a famous slice of artichoke, margarita, cheese, or pepperoni pizza. There are plenty more options than just those four, but those are my personal favorites. 10/10 would definitely recommend for fellow pizza and late night lovers.

The Wayland: The Wayland NYC is a speakeasy style bar located on the West Village of Manhattan. Guests line up on a street corner and are let in as other guests leave. Being a speakeasy it is very lowkey and secretive in nature. The atmosphere is great and the bartenders know how to make some mean drinks. I recommend trying the smoked bourbon drink- it comes with two glasses stacked on top of each other and filled with smoke. The jalapeño martini is also a favorite of mine. Definitely a lesser known spot and a great place for cocktails and company in NYC.
